Production History
From staged productions and film explorations, to interdisciplinary performance festivals, outdoor theatre, gallery appearances, and devised work, Matriarchy Theatre has created a playground for artists to try on new ways of telling stories, while centering women+ in the themes and creation process. Below are some highlights from our first five years making theatre magic!

*Matriarchy Theatre’s first production. A community-sourced film project created through an online collaboration process, while the world was still predominantly in quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Selected participant for the California State University, Sacramento, College of Arts and Letters 2021 U-NITE virtual event at Crocker Art Museum.
